Blind Manufacturers’ Association of Australia (BMAA) Celebrates New Partnership with Australian Made Campaign (AMCL)

The Blind Manufacturers’ Association of Australia (BMAA) is delighted to announce a groundbreaking partnership with the Australian Made Campaign (AMCL), designating BMAA as the newest Industry Partner. This collaboration marks a significant development in fostering the growth of the window furnishings industry in Australia.

As the unified voice for manufacturers and retailers within the window furnishings sector, BMAA actively advocates for its diverse membership at both national and state levels. Representing a wide spectrum of businesses, from small family enterprises to prominent national corporations, BMAA is dedicated to promoting and fortifying the interests of the industry.

Australian Made Chief Executive, Ben Lazzaro, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We are thrilled to collaborate with the Blind Manufacturers’ Association of Australia to bolster the Australian blinds, awnings, and shutters manufacturing sector. Our local manufacturers adhere to some of the highest quality and safety standards globally. Opting for Australian Made products not only ensures top-notch quality but also contributes to job creation and stimulates economic activity, benefiting the broader community.”

Lazzaro emphasised the impact of supporting local industries, saying, “Whether it’s curtains, outdoor blinds, shutters, or indoor blinds, choosing the Australian Made option contributes to the livelihoods of thousands of Australians throughout the entire supply chain. From local artisans to retailers, the positive effects of your purchases are substantial.”

According to IBIS World, Australia’s window coverings manufacturing industry injects an estimated $842 million annually into the local economy and provides employment for nearly 3,000 individuals.

BMAA Chairman, Gilbert Da Silva, echoed the sentiment, stating, “BMAA is committed to promoting and strengthening our industry. Our partnership with Australian Made represents a significant step forward in showcasing the top-quality Australian-made window coverings and shading systems that our industry offers to the market.”

Da Silva highlighted the broader implications of the partnership, stating, “This strategic collaboration not only reinforces our advocacy for locally made products but also underscores our unwavering commitment to the growth of Australian manufacturing. BMAA proudly displays the Australian Made partner logo, symbolising our shared dedication to fostering a robust and thriving manufacturing industry in Australia.”
